BBC Equal Pay Forum October 2002
A BBC talking point forum held in the week that Louise Barton lost a sex discrimination case where she complained that a male colleague was paid double what she got, although she won on appeal the following August and settled the matter confidentially.

With guests:
Julie Mellor, chair of the Equal Opportunities Commission;
Dame Judith Mayhew, head of the Corporation of London and the City's de facto chief executive;
Louise Barton, the analyst who lost her sex discrimination case.

Jo Anne Brown submitted a question which asked if mandatory salary checks would be introduced due to the failure of the Equal Pay Act to ensure that women get paid equally for equal work.
